Acrylic and Posca on a massive 5x7 foot stretched canvas. This is my favorite piece that I have ever made. I saw an old drawing of Jesus and I knew I had to recreate it on a much larger scale. This painting took around 100 hours to complete and was made in the dead of winter when there was no heat in my studio, it was literally 0 degrees the whole time. I suffered a little but nothing compared to what Christ suffered. It seems my best work is made when I give up being comfortable.
